Jan..., 1917 Christ Larson, former resident of Darling, was killed by train at Minot, N. D. Left wife and several children. Little Falls Herald

Feb. 27, 1917 Harry Birch of the Brickyards was crushed to death in freight elevator in Minneapolis. Age 21 years. Little Falls Herald  

Mar. 1, 1917 Allen Sutliff of Randall had a narrow escape from death on railway crossing. Horse was killed.  Little Falls Herald

Mar. 10, 1917 Andrew Stroman of Long Prairie was killed at sub-station of transmission line on West side, when, in some manner, he came in contact with a high tension wire. Little Falls Herald

Mar. 17, 1917 Seven men were injured in wreck on L. F. & D. branch when relief train crashed into stalled snow plow. Little Falls Herald

Mar. 30, 1917 Little Viola Beveridge of this city was struck by automobile and killed. Ben Coen and Roy McGregor held on charge of manslaughter. Little Falls Herald

April 23, 1917 The little daughter of Mr.  and Mrs. John Biallis of Royalton was badly burned when her clothes caught fire from a bonfire, with which she was playing. Little Falls Herald

May 5, 1917 Joseph Banek of Pulaski lost three fingers on one hand when a dynamite cap with which he was playing, exploded. Little Falls Herald       

May 6, 1917 Jesse Gammon of Green Prairie aged 9 years, was accidentally shot in the shoulder by companion. Little Falls Herald

July 29, 1917 Ferdinand Rocheleau of this city died from injuries sustained in a runaway the previous Tuesday. His wife was slightly Injured In the runaway. Little Falls Herald

July 31, 1917 J. Cottingham, N. P. operator at Motley, was struck by lightning while on duty and was badly burned. Little Falls Herald

Aug. 19, 1917 August Sundquist of Cushing was drowned in Fish Trap lake when he lost his balance while standing in the boat and fell into the water. Little Falls Herald

Oct. 18, 1917 John Bergstrom, prominent merchant of Flensburg was struck by branch line passenger train while crossing tracks on way to station with mail. He died within an hour.
