Jan. 6, 1917 Nels Olson of Royalton, old resident of county, died at home of his nephew, Nels Skoog of Little Falls town, age 84 years. Little Falls Herald

 Jan. 17, 1917 Frank A. C. Mueller of Swanville, old resident of county, died at home of sister, age 38 years. Death caused by diabetes. Little Falls Herald

Jan. 13, 1917 Mrs. Adele Root of Ft. Ripley, pioneer resident of county; died from pneumonia, age 68 years. Little Falls Herald

Jan. 27, 1917 August F. Pesch, a resident of Pierz for many years, died at Raleigh, N. D., age 80 years. Little Falls Herald

Feb. 2, 1917 B. G. Terhaar of Pierz. a pioneer resident of that village, died, age 71 years. Little Falls Herald

Feb. 17, 1917 J. J. Clark, a pioneer resident of Little Falls and a Civil war Veteran died from a complication of diseases age 76 years. Little Falls Herald

Mar. 2, 1917—C. B. Buckman, pioneer businessman of Little Falls and former congressman, died at Battle Creek, Mich., sanitarium, after long Illness, age 66 years. Little Falls Herald

Mar. 7, 1917—Stanislaus Gosiak, old resident of Swan River, died from liver trouble, age 73 years. Little Falls Herald

Mar. 26, 1917—Ernest Wieland prominent farmer of Pike Creek, died at St. Gabriel’s hospital, age 56 years. Little Falls Herald

April 2, 1917—Mrs. Gerhard Wilkes, old resident of Pierz, died from apoplexy, age 63 years. Little Falls Herald

April 8, 1917—Fred Luerssen, local cigar maker, died, age 79 years.  Little Falls Herald

April 12, 1917—Mrs. Mary Hosch, old resident of Buckman died at hospital In Minneapolis, age 64 years. Little Falls Herald

April 15, 1917—Mrs. A. R. Davidson of Winnipeg formerly of Little Falls, died at Chicago. Little Falls Herald

April 26, 1917—Martin Stroekel of Pierz died from injuries sustained in a runaway.  Age 60 years. Little Falls Herald

June 12, 1917—Mrs. Virginia Richard, wife of J. Richard, old resident of Little Falls, died from anemia and rheumatism age 58 years. Little Falls Herald

June 14, 1917—Simon Barton of Two Rivers, old resident of county, died, age 68 years. Little Falls Herald

June 14, 1917—Martin Hovelson old resident of county, died at St. Gabriel’s hospital age 67 years. Little Falls Herald

June 17, 1917—John Lindquist, a resident of the county for 25 years, died from heart failure, age 60 years. Little Falls Herald

June 16, 1917—Mrs. Ella Branchaud wife of Theo. Branchaud of Bellevue, died, age 54 years. She was a pioneer resident of county. Little Falls Herald

June 25, 1917—Two children of Stanley Jaskowiak of Culdrum died from diphtheria.  Four deaths occurred in this family from this disease in a week. Little Falls Herald

July 2, 1917—Cecil, 2-year-old son of Mr.  and Mrs. E. Wise of Parkertown, was drowned in a watering trough. Little Falls Herald

July 15, 1917—Mrs. C. Chandler of Parkertown old resident of county, died, age 55 years. Little Falls Herald

July 21, 1917—Charles F. Raymond, early settler of Little Falls, died, age 79 years. Little Falls Herald

Sept. 28, 1917—Sister Mary Magdalene, one of oldest members of Franciscan order in this district, died, age 74 years. Little Falls Herald

Oct. 5, 1917—Mrs. Charles Doucette of this city died from cancer of the stomach, age 52 years. Was a resident of county nearly 50 years. Little Falls Herald

Oct. 7, 1917—John J. Faust, one of the oldest residents of Pierz, died age 79 years. Little Falls Herald

Oct. 16, 1917—Mrs. Amanda Stith wife of C. P. Stith of Swanville, died, age 64 years. Little Falls Herald

Oct. 22, 1917 George Bain a pioneer resident of Culdrum, died, age 69 years. Little Falls Herald

Nov. 6, 1917—Mrs. Barome Doucette of Belle Prairie died at St. Gabriel’s hospital, age 56 years. She had lived in this county all her life.  Little Falls Herald

Nov. 8, 1917—Jacob Jarvis, old resident of Green Prairie, died, age 76 years. Little Falls Herald

Nov. 11, 1917—Mrs. Henry Meining of Duluth former resident of this city, committed suicide in a hotel at Chicago. Little Falls Herald

Nov. 13, 1917—Mr. Weiss, a pioneer resident of Pierz. died at home of daughter at Brainerd age 79 years. Little Falls Herald

Nov. 16, 1917—Math Zerwas old and well known resident of this city died at St.  Gabriel’s hospital from diabetes, age 59 years. Little Falls Herald

Dec. 1, 1917—Paul Hapka, old resident of this city died, age 50 years. Little Falls Herald

Dec. 2, 1917—Pauline Zak age 6 years, of Swan River, was strangled to death as the result of a large lima bean lodging in her trachea. Little Falls Herald

Dec. 3, 1917—A. J. Bergquist a resident of Buh town for 36 years, died, age 74 years. Little Falls Herald

Dec. 10, 1917—Martin Roll, old resident of Elm Dale, died, age 67 years. Little Falls Herald
