KIRCHHOFF, Paul ----- Word was received here Saturday that Paul Kirchhoff of St. Paul, brother-in-law of William H. Gieseke, had died at St. Paul that morning. He had been ill with pneumonia for two weeks.  The deceased was born in Germany, July 6, 1860 and came to this country in 1873. In September 1890 he was married to Emma Gieseke at Courtland and they have made their home in St.  Paul ever since. Mr. Kirchhoff was foreman of the Minnesota Roofing and Tile Co. and was a teacher in the evening school of the St. Paul Business Institute. The funeral was held yesterday from the home and was conducted by the pastor of St. Stephan’s Ev. Luth church. Mr. Kirchhoff is survived by his widow, his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Ernst Kirchhoff, George Kirchhoff, Mrs. William H. Gieseke, Mrs.  Robert Marquardt of New Ulm, Ernst Kirchhoff of Courtland and John Bruns of Nicollet attended the funeral. MURPHY, Grace ----- 32 years of age, died Sunday evening in Miller hospital in St. Paul, as a result of meningitis. Miss Murphy spent much of her earlier life in Morton, graduating here with the class of 1921. Of late years she has lived in St. Paul.

Surviving members of her family are her mother, Mrs. Agnes Murphy, five sisters, Margaret, Beatrice and Mrs. Catherine Bugge, all of St. Paul, Mrs. Agnes Blake of Chicago, and Mrs. Frances Howe of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and two brothers, Joseph of St. Paul and Peter of Morton.

Funeral services were held at the cathedral in St. Paul Wednesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Murphy left Morton Tuesday to be present at the rites. Redwood Gazette Thursday June 18, 1936
