Collapsed After Game of Tennis

Collapsing: following a game of tennis during the English Lutheran church picnic in Ramsey park Sunday afternoon, Martin H. Sandager, 55, of Belview, died 20 minutes later of a cerebral hemorrhage. Dr. W. A . Brand, deputy coroner, who was called when first aid methods failed, said the hemorrhage was due to exertion following a heavy meal.

Apparently in good health, Mr. Sandager had finished a tennis game and was resting along the sidelines at about 2 p. m. when he was stricken. A trained nurse, one of a group of picnickers nearby, attempted to revive him but was unsuccessful. Redwood Gazette Thursday June 18, 1936
