Jan. 27, 1917 Arthur Sylvester of this city was
found guilty in district court of assault in the second degree
for striking Patrolman Larson on the head with a club. He was
sentenced to the state penitentiary for an indeterminate term.

Feb. 2, 1917 James Mulcrone was sentenced
in district court to an indeterminate term in the state
penitentiary, for participating in the robbery of the St. Paul

April 26, 1917 Ben Coen was given indeterminate
term in state prison by Judge Parsons, for death of Viola
Beveridge, killed by auto which he was riding in. Little

May 1, 1917 Roy McGregor of this city was given
an indeterminate term at the state prison. He was the owner of
and an occupant of the car which struck and killed little
Viola Beveridge. Little Falls

May 4, 1917 Judge Parsons filed decision with
clerk of court denying Mrs. Cora Smetzer and Mrs. Henry
Pearson damages against Drs. Holst & Holst for the death
of their husbands, who were killed when a house they were
moving slipped from the jacks, crushing them. Little Falls

May 31, 1917 Merle Herculides was
sentenced to state prison for indeterminate term by Judge
Roeser, for theft of clothing from a railroad car here.

June 8, 1917 State supreme court filed verdict
upholding verdict of district court awarding Mrs. Mary Posch
of Opole $2,000 damages against the Lion Bonding & Surety
company, for the death of her husband. Little Falls

A. Churchill, was
stolen at Randall. Allen Hotchkiss of Staples later was caught
with car in his possession. Was fined $150 by Judge Roeser.

26, 1917—Ignatz Kuklinski of Platte was sentenced to state
reformatory by Judge Roeser, for indecent assault. Little

28,1917 Conrad Knuth of this city was sentenced to reformatory
for one year, for the theft of a cow owned by J. G. Anderson.

28, 1917 L. A. Woodruff, I. W. W., was given 60 days in
jail for seditious utterances. Little Falls

20, 1917 Martin Munson of Randall was
sentenced to state prison for 18 months by Judge Roeser for
breaking into the Nelson store at Randall and stealing a gun.
Galen Campbell was given 4 months in Jail for the same

Dec.
13, 1917 John Meyer of Morrill town
was bound over to the grand jury by Justice Randall, on a
charge of stealing an automobile belonging to F. F Turner, at
Pierz. It was found 11 miles away to the following day, having
been abandoned and left there. Little Falls
