Austin, Mrs. Geo. ---- of
Stevens township died Tuesday of last week from Bright’s
disease, after an illness of two weeks. The funeral was
held Thursday at the home of J. O. Ralston and the body
was shipped to the old home in Missouri for
interment.
Mrs. Austin’s maiden
name was Miss Olivia Laird, and she was born in
Chareton, Mo., April 5, 1862. She was married to Mr.
Austin Nov. 13, 1873, and they moved to Stevens county
about a year ago.
She is survived by her
husband and five children as follows: Carrie Austin of
Kansas City, Mamie Austin of Jefferson City, Mo.,
Herbert Austin of Goodive, Idaho, Geo. Austin, Jr., of
McComman, Idaho, and Mrs. J. O. Ralston of Chokio.

Block, Mrs. Aug. of Morris, died
Sunday from pneumonia, after a short illness of only a
few days. She first had influenza and this later
developed into pneumonia, from which she soon passed
away. The funeral was held Monday morning from the home,
Rev. G. A. Pilgrim officiating. Interment was in
the Morris cemetery.
Mrs. Block was formerly Miss
Ernestine Lentz and was born in Poland in 1857. She came
to the United States in 1892 and to Stevens county with
her husband in 1902. She was married
to Aug. Block in 1879, before coming to this
county. She
is survived by her husband and ten children, four sons
and six daughters, all of them grown to manhood and
womanhood and many of them married. She had 25
grandchildren.
Mrs. Block was a Christian woman and a member of
the Lutheran Peace congregation of Morris. Morris Tribune Friday March 21,

Hegg, Petra ---- died at her
home in Morris Tuesday from old age, being past 71 years
of age. She would have been 72 years old the 6th of
April. The
funeral will be held tomorrow from the Scandia church.

Henrichs, Mrs. John ----- who
lived near Chokio, died Wednesday from influenza. Mrs.
Henrichs had been at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jake
Geids, 3 miles south of Donnelly, for the past three
days helping to care for the members of the family, all
of them being sick with influenza. She had only
been there a short time when she was taken down with the
disease and she died as stated above on Wednesday. Mrs.
Henrichs was born in Illinois and came to this county
five years ago with her husband and family. She was
nearly 49 years of age at the time of her death and is
survived by her husband and five children. The funeral
will be held today from the Colyer & Olson
Undertaking parlor, Rev. Pilgrim

Larson, Syver ---- of Framnus
township, one of the oldest settlers of the county, died
Tuesday as a result of stomach trouble. He was 69 years
and 1 month of age. The funeral will be held today. Mr.
Larson had lived in this county for over forty years.

Luthi, Chris ----- one of the
oldest residents of the county, died Sunday at his home
about seven and a half miles south of Morris. He was 72
years of age and the cause of death was paralysis. He
had been feeling very well of late and Sunday walked to
church in the afternoon, about a half mile from his
home. On his return he had a stroke of paralysis and
died the same evening. The funeral was held Wednesday
from the Christian Apostolic church. Rev. Danwart from
Iowa officiating. Interment was made in the church
cemetery. Mr. Luthi is survived by four sons and three
daughters, all of them grown to manhood and womanhood.

Olson, Mrs. Otto ---- died at
her home in Framnas last Sunday afternoon, March 16th,
from hemorrhage after being ill for nine days, during
which time there was every hope that she would speedily
recover.
Mrs. Olson was a noble woman,
a kind neighbor, and a devoted wife and mother, and the
news of her death was received with sorrow by the large
circle of friends among whom she held in the highest
esteem. She
had spent practically her whole life here. Her maiden
name was Delia Lee, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. T. O. Lee,
and she was born at Atwater, Minn., Feb. 1, 1880, but
came to this county as a little girl with her parents.
She was married to Mr. Olson seventeen
years ago, and all of their happy married life has been
spent on the Olson farm in Framnas. To them were
born six children, who with the other sorrowing
relatives, have the sympathy of all. They are Nora,
Elmer, Stella, Bernard, Janette and Howard. Other
surviving relatives are her father, O. T. O. Lee; her
brothers, Alfred Lee of Danvers, and Peter Lee of Cyrus;
and her sisters, Mrs. Anton Ettesvold, Mrs. Hans Olson of
Framnas, and Miss Clara Lee, who is a Red Cross nurse in
France.
The funeral was held Thursday
afternoon from the Scandia church. Rev. A. G.
Quammen conducting the service. The pall bearers were
P.
Peterson, E. C. Gilbert, Peter Jacobson. Hans

Pushor, Mrs. Geo. ---- of
Donnelly died Wednesday from influenza, after an illness
of only a few days. She was 26 years of age and was
married to Mr. Pushor only a couple of months ago. She
is survived by her husband and one son, born to her by a
former marriage. Mr. Pushor lives in Donnelly, but is
well-known in Morris. The body of Mrs. Pushor was
brought to Morris yesterday and a short service held at
the cemetery, Rev. F. A. Stever officiating. Morris Tribune Friday March 21,

Schouweiler, Mrs. Peter ----
living between Morris and Donnelly in Morris township,
died Monday from influenza, after an illness of only a
few days. The funeral was held Wednesday at Donnelly,
Father Devorak officiating. Mrs. Schouweiler was nearly
44 years of age and Is survived by her husband and ten
